Why it’s special
The family meeting point at 1,340 m: a big playground, the popular gold-panning station and the marble run — free entry to the playground.
The two-channel gold-panning station is right by the playground. Here’s how it works:

Gold panning — how it works
Choose a sand bag (€6) → move it through the sieve in the water basin until the stones appear — or use the gold pan. Keep the gemstones you find.
Marble run (Kugelbahn)
Wooden balls for €2 at the ball vending machine at the playground or in the mountain shop — roll as often as you like.

Does the Hirschi playground charge entry?
No, entry is free — you only need to get up there: by gondola (lift ticket) or on foot via the roughly 3 km forest road.
Where exactly is the playground?
At the summit at 1,340 m, right next to the top station — short, level paths, ideal with children.

At the Liechtensteinhaus right next door — with a sun terrace and its own children’s menus for school and family groups.
