Frequent questions
Am I really skiing a World Cup slope?
Yes — every two years Semmering hosts the Audi FIS women’s Ski World Cup, and you ride the very same FIS-certified panorama slope, groomed twice a day.
How late can I ski in the evening?
Until 9 pm under floodlights — 13 of the 14 kilometres are lit. Night skiing runs Thu–Sat (daily in the holidays) from 6 to 9 pm.
When does the winter season start?
The season traditionally opens in late November; the night slope follows in early December.
Does the ski area suit beginners and kids?
Yes: blue, red and black runs for every level, the Happy Lift (external partner) for very first turns — plus two ski schools and rental right on site.
Can I go tobogganing here too?
Of course — the 3 km adventure toboggan run operates day and night under floodlights and is included with your lift ticket.
What’s there beyond the slopes?
Cross-country trails, ski touring (mindful of operations & closures), snowshoe and winter hiking on cleared high paths, and the ice stock rink by the Sporthotel.
How much is the ski pass?
Day pass €56.50 (adults), night pass €48.50, day & night €101 — buy online and skip the queue.
Where’s best to stay after a ski day?
At the Sporthotel, 8 minutes’ walk from the gondola: wellness with sauna & indoor pool, a free ski room, the RUFbus and ski-pass benefits for guests (voucher at reception).
