Getting here — closer than you think

1 hour from Vienna & Graz

Car: A2/S6, exits Maria Schutz (Lower Austria) or Spital am Semmering (Styria), then 3.5 km to the pass — plenty of free parking & 4 EV chargers at the valley station. Train: direct service via the UNESCO Semmering Railway, then 20–25 min on foot, by RUFbus or taxi.

About 97 km from Vienna, 107 km from Graz — via motorway/S6. From the exits Maria Schutz (Lower Austria) or Spital am Semmering (Styria) it is just 3.5 km to the pass. Plenty of free parking at the valley station.

Regular trains over the Semmering (UNESCO railway) — connections via the ÖBB timetable. Station → valley station: 20–25 min on foot, by RUFbus or taxi.

RUFbus Semmering-Rax

Takes guests free of charge or for a small fee from the stations to accommodation, lifts & hikes. From June daily 9 am–6 pm, July & August 8:30 am–7:30 pm. Book ahead via hotline or app.
