The slopes
The slopes at the Semmering Hirschenkogel cover blue, red and black runs — for beginners, advanced skiers and pros. 13 of the 14 kilometres of slopes are floodlit for night operation, plus the 3 km adventure toboggan run in day and night operation.
The slopes are freshly groomed twice a day — so even night operation offers the best conditions.

Beginner lift with practice slope across the road — run by an external partner, not part of the Semmering-Hirschenkogel lifts. It needs its own ticket; Hirschenkogel lift passes are not valid here.Snowmaking

Slopes closed outside operating hours
During the grooming break (4:00–6:00 pm) and overnight — 4:00 pm to 8:45 am on days without night operation, 9:00 pm to 8:45 am on days with night operation — the slopes are closed. Groomers with winch cables operate during this time: entering is life-threatening and prohibited.

About 14 kilometres of varied slopes, from the practice hill to the World Cup run. 13 kilometres are floodlit for night operation — making the Semmering one of Lower Austria’s best-known night ski areas.
What difficulty levels are there?
Blue (easy), red (intermediate) and black (difficult) slopes — ideal for beginners, advanced skiers and pros.
Are the slopes groomed before night operation?
Yes. Between 4 and 6 pm there is an operating break during which the slopes are freshly groomed — perfect for ideal evening conditions.
Where can I buy ski passes?
Online in the ticket shop (Axess) and at the lift counters.
Can I rent equipment on site?
Yes, there are two rental stations: Sport 2000 Puschi and the Skischule Semmering rental (Alpincenter).

Which lifts are there?
The 8-seat gondola as the main axis to the summit and the 4-seat chairlift — in winter both run day and night, in summer only the gondola operates.
Which lift do pedestrians and tobogganists take?
The gondola only — the chairlift is reserved for skiers and boarders on the slopes.
What’s the story with the Happy Lift?
The beginner lift with practice slope on the Panhanswiese is run by partner an external partner — it needs its own ticket; Hirschenkogel passes aren’t valid there.
