With great professionalism and dedication, the Semmering winter sports club under president Franz Steiner and his team has organised and successfully run the women’s Ski World Cup races at the Semmering Hirschenkogel every two years since 1995.
The Semmering cable-car company is responsible for the optimal slope conditions — one of the most important foundations for staging the World Cup races. With great commitment, a perfect stage is created for local and international racers.
As the year draws to a close, the Semmering turns into a World Cup arena with few equals in the women’s ski circus. Most recently, in December 2025, Semmering stepped in as replacement host at short notice — 'rescuing' the giant slalom and slalom — with a thrilling atmosphere and a varied supporting programme.
