Turning night into day
The 6 night slopes are the real highlight of the Semmering ski area, freshly groomed every day during the operating break between 4 and 6 pm. With their World-Cup-grade lighting they offer an unforgettable experience for evening skiers and tobogganers.
Both the gondola and the chairlift run in the evening, ensuring a comfortable ascent even in the dark. The season traditionally starts in late November; the night slope follows in early December.

Slopes closed outside operating hours
After 9:00 pm until 8:45 am the slopes are closed. Groomers with winch cables operate during this time: entering is life-threatening and prohibited.

Can I use a 3-hour pass at night?
A day or 3-hour pass is not valid in the evening — you need a night pass (or night pass + toboggan). Valid season passes such as the NÖ Bergerlebnispass and the Ostalpen card are also valid during night operation.
Are the Bergerlebnispass or Ostalpen card valid at night?
Yes, both the NÖ Bergerlebnispass and the Ostalpen card are valid for day and night operation.
Which slopes are floodlit at night?
During night operation all slopes and the toboggan run are floodlit — only the east slope (freeride area) is excluded from night operation.
When are the lifts open at night?
During night operation the lifts run 6–9 pm.
Can I rent equipment in the evening too?
Yes, the Sport 2000 Puschi rental is also open during night operation — with the same hours as the cable cars.
How much is the night pass?
€48.50 for adults, €44 youth/seniors, €25 children. For day and night in one go, take the day & night pass from €101.
On which days does night operation run?
Thursday to Saturday from 6 to 9 pm — daily during the holidays. All periods are in the night-operation calendar (subject to change).
Do both lifts run in the evening?
Yes — both the gondola and the chairlift operate in the evening, getting you up comfortably even after dark.
Can I toboggan in the evening too?
Of course — the toboggan run is floodlit during night operation. You need the night pass (or night pass + toboggan with a rental sledge).
When does night skiing start in the season?
