Good to know
Rules on the Hirschenkogel
Ski touring is allowed at the edge of the slope during operating hours. During the operating break (4–6 pm), early in the morning before opening and in the evening after closing it is NOT permitted.
Parking & ticket
The lift company’s car park can be used free of charge. A lift ticket is not required.
Safety & consideration
Touring experience & suitable gear assumed. Ascend at the edge of the piste, walk in single file and use the marked skinning tracks; always observe closures, signs and the instructions of the piste crew. During the operating break (4–6 pm) and after closing the piste is off-limits — that’s when grooming machines and winch cables are working. In avalanche terrain carry standard emergency gear; check the current conditions & operation on the Live page beforehand.
